Tray sealing specialist Proseal’s leading role in fast, efficient and high-quality meat and poultry packing will be showcased at this year’s IFFA, where the company will be exhibiting on parent company JBT Corporation’s stands in Hall 8 (stands J90 and K90).

Proseal will showcase its proven GT2e tray sealing machine and recently launched CP3™ case packer, demonstrating its ability to provide a complete primary and transit packing solution for the effective sealing and onward delivery of trays.

To maximise throughput, both machines utilise Proseal’s unique Pro ProMotion™ continuous infeed technology, which controls the flow of trays and creates a calm machine operating environment to ensure a smoother, more stable journey through the sealing and packing processes.

The GT2e and CP3™ also have the versatility to handle a wide variety of tray materials and formats, while a major benefit of the GT2’s ‘e’ platform is the machine’s ability to handle any type of seal including atmospheric, MAP, Vacuum MAP, Skin, Skin Plus and Skin Deep, all of which deliver effective product protection to extend shelf life and reduce food waste. 

Both machines therefore have the flexibility to adapt to changing market trends and consumer requirements, including both the introduction of alternative tray types to traditional plastic varieties and the increasing popularity of plant-based meat products.

The GT2e offers a compact space-saving design and rapid tool changes, while delivering a top speed of up to 120 atmospheric packs per minute. Among its many advanced and user-friendly features, Proseal’s unique Eseal® technology ensures the excellent seal reliability that meets the stringent quality requirements for retail protein packaging, while maximising on-shelf presentation.

Proseal’s QR conveyors provide fast and controlled infeed and outfeed of product and feature quick release belts for maximum hygiene and easy maintenance.

The CP3™ offers a similar compact footprint and fast changeovers, with a top speed of 120 packs per minute. Its excellent compatibility with Proseal’s tray sealing machine range is further enhanced by utilising many components found on GT models and through the deployment of common GT parts, wherever possible, to reduce the cost of ownership. In addition, the HMI operator screen has the same touch and feel as the GT range.
