Tray sealing solutions from Proseal that provide food manufacturers with maximum efficiency, flexibility and quality will be exhibited on parent company JBT’s stand at this year’s Anuga FoodTec. (Hall 6.1 Stand A030 F049).

The high-speed Proseal GT2e tray sealing machine and the recently launched CP3™ fully automatic case packing system will be on display to demonstrate the company’s capabilities in a wide range of food markets including fresh produce, meat and poultry and ready meals.

Capable of sealing up to 120 Atmospheric packs per minute, the GT2e incorporates several proven Proseal-developed features that help to provide quality seals at high speeds. Incorporating Proseal’s innovative E-seal® electric sealing technology, which increases seal force of 600% whilst achieving a 92% reduction in energy usage, the GT2e ensures excellent seal reliability to meet the strict requirements of the food retail sector, whilst delivering valuable cost savings and sustainability benefits.

In addition, speeds are also further enhanced through features such as servo-controlled pack transfer, which creates a smooth movement for trays through the sealing process, with self-centring pack guides ensuring that trays are accurately positioned during sealing. Automatic film snap and film end detection also help to maintain consistent operation.

The Proseal CP3™ case packaging machine combines efficient power consumption and a compact footprint with the ability to fill cases at up to 120 packs per minute. Key to this performance is Proseal’s proven ProMotion™ tray infeed system, which maximises throughput by using following motion and intelligent buffering technology to effectively control the flow of trays, enabling them to feed continuously into the machines without stopping.

In addition, the CP3™ can handle a wide variety of pack formats, including trays and pots, in materials such as A-PET, C-PET and board, delivering the flexibility demanded by food manufacturers.

The high performances of both Proseal’s tray sealing machines and case packing systems are further enhanced by the use of the company’s QR conveyors, which as well as ensuring reliable and consistent infeed and outfeed of trays, incorporate quick release belts that allow fast and easy disassembly and reassembly for easy cleaning. This helps to meet the fast changeover and maximum hygiene requirements of busy food packing environments.
