Tray sealing solutions that combine speed, efficiency, and product protection across a wide range of food markets including fresh produce, meat and poultry and ready meals, will be a major focus of Proseal’s participation at this year’s CFIA Rennes. (Hall 7, Stand B7).

Proseal will be showing its semi-automatic two station rotary GTR tray sealing machine on both parent company JBT’s and its French distributor France Food Packaging’s stands (Hall 7, Stand B7 and Hall 10, Stand F1 respectively).

The GTR is ideal for smaller scale enterprises and new product development and has the flexibility to handle the various plastic-alternative tray formats currently being introduced, as well as offering a super-efficient gas flushing option for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).

In addition, the GTR brings significant benefits in comparison to traditional manual machines, where operators are required to wait for each tray to be sealed. With the rotary operation of the GTR, new trays can be loaded while the previous are being sealed, thus delivering high sealing speeds of up to 30 packs per minute.

A user-friendly, menu-driven control panel provides step-by-step prompts, error and status displays, and a batch pack counter. The quick release additional tooling allows users to change from one tray size to another in less than two minutes. The GTR is food industry approved, with hygienic construction and full wash down protection.
